Step 1: Click on "Settings"
Step 2: Click on "Accommodations"
Step 3: Click on "Types"
Step 4: Here you will need to enter all the information pertinent to this room category
Step 5: Under "Category name", enter the name of the category
Step 6: Under "Short name", enter the abbreviation for this room category
Note: this abbreviation will display on the calendar to indicate the room category of the specific room
Step 7: Under "Guests incl. in rack rate", enter the number of guests that are included in the default rate of the room
Step 8: Under "Color (reset)", you can select the specific color you want for this room type
Note: reservations in a room in this room type will display with this color if the calendar view "by room type" is activated
Step 9: Under "Minimum Stay", you can enter a minimum stay that is applicable all year round for this room type
Step 10: Under "Maximum guests Total", you must enter the maximum number of guests you accept in the room (adults + juniors + babies if these count towards the total)
Step 11: Under "Maximum guests Adults", you must enter the maximum number of adults you accept in the room
Step 12: Under "Maximum guests Juniors", you must enter the maximum number of juniors you accept in the room
Step 13: Under "Maximum guests Babies", you must enter the maximum number of babies you accept in the room
Step 14: If you select the option "Babies count toward total", then the babies in the room will be taken into consideration in the global maximum number of guests in the room
Step 15: If you select the option "Show on Booking Platform", then the room category will be available for booking on the Base7 booking platform
If you deselect this option, then the room category won't be available for booking on the Base7 booking platform
Step 16: Once you have entered all the information, click on "Add"
